Brief

We were asked to give genuine Euromillions Lottery winners Sharon and Nigel a full VIP experience at the Trafford Centre in Manchester.

Working alongside Influential, this Camelot PR Stunt was to coincide with their tongue-in-cheek marketing campaign ‘Nicer Problems To Have’, which gently pokes fun at the issues that only millionaires could encounter.

What we did

From the moment their helicopter touched down, we (literally) rolled out the red carpet for the VIP couple.

Our butlers and security guards escorted them on a luxury shopping spree, supplying them with champagne, and carrying their extravagant purchases; before whisking them away by limousine.

Highlights

  • The stunt received widespread coverage across TV, national, regional and local newspapers, as well as huge social media traction
  • The story, and subsequent video, was featured by the ‘Manchester Evening News’
  • The event also involved gaining permission for the first ever helicopter landing at the Trafford Centre (even the owner isn’t allowed to park his helicopter there!)
