Brief

Cancer Research UK wanted to engage the public with their Walk All Over Cancer Campaign.

They wanted to create an appealing experiential activity outside London’s Kings Cross Station.  The installation needed to provoke positive action from the public and needed to encourage people to increase their daily steps to the recommended 10000 steps-a-day target.

What we did

We designed and produced a full-size bus stop with a bespoke, integrated trainer station with free footwear.  This engaging activity encouraged the public to switch their shoes for a pair of trainers and walk instead of using public transport.

Using charming performers to interact with the public, the event was was filmed and great shots fed to press on the day.  We also helped increase sign-up to the campaign and educated the target audience.

Highlights

Over the course of 5 hours, hundreds of members of the public walked thousands of steps dramatically increasing their daily allowance.

The activity was featured in the Mail Online as well as the video getting hundreds of views on social media.

Public awareness of the importance of fitness in reducing cancer improved massively.
