Brief

We were asked by agency 3 Monkeys to design and install a Cornish Tea Room inside a First Great Western train carriage featuring Tregothnan Tea.

We staged a photocall featuring the world’s largest operational teapot in a first class carriage at Paddington Station, to promote the news that home-grown Cornish Tregothnan Tea, the only team produced in Britain, was to be served on First Great Western trains.

What we did

We swiftly installed bespoke decorative elements including gingham curtains and table cloths, cake stands, bunting and flowers.

We transformed the carriage and hosted the photo shoot all within 2 hours on a fully operational train.

Results

First Great Western’s partnership with Tregothnan led to 1 million bags of British tea being brewed on trains in 2014/15.

The initiative helped recruit new employees at the tea estate in Cornwall, leading the brand’s expected growth of 60 per cent over 12 months.

The campaign received widespread coverage in media including, Guardian online, Independent online, Daily Mail and regional press including The Western Morning News.
