Brief

Harrods asked us to create a magical ‘Christmas Journey’ experience to entertain visitors over their Christmas opening weekend.

It needed to include multi-skilled performers and a colourful array of fun, festive activities alongside Harrods’ very own hero mouse Peter Pumpernickel.

The installation needed to be completed within a tight 3 hour window on the opening day.

What we did

We transformed Hans Crescent, which runs all along the side of the famous Knightsbridge store, into a festive wonderland.

We designed and produced a 35m x 10m interactive experience packed full of features. These included festive themed fairground style stalls, games and activities, photobooths and real live reindeer.

The attraction was brought to life with a cast of 20 Ministers wearing specially designed Elf costumes.

Results

Over the course of the weekend, nearly 2000 families visited the experience before meeting Father Christmas inside the store.

The public were treated to 14 hours of non-stop festive fun.

Media and celebrities were in attendance, with Harrods once again being celebrated as one of the UK’s top Christmas Grotto Destinations.
