To celebrate the first anniversary of the Magical Boat Ride at Alton Towers, DHX Media asked us to design, theme & decorate a venue at the park for an amazing 2-hour event: the ‘In The Night Garden’ Magical Boat Ride’s 1st Birthday Party!
We were also asked to provide a team of performers and activities to entertain the 100 competition-winning children (aged 3-5) and their families.
We designed and installed the venue decorations, transforming it with festoon lighting, trees, bunting and balloons.
A top team of MOF performers, workshop leaders and technical crew were on hand throughout the party to bring it to life.
Our Facepainters created bespoke designs for the children’s faces … and encouraged them to decorate Makka Pakka’s pebbles!
We led a schedule of fun and activities during the party, playing themed games between ITNG character appearances … and ensuring that the children had the best, most Makka Pakka-tastic time EVER!
Since the party, visitors to Alton Towers continue to sail on the magical boat ride, journeying through a real Night Garden with all their favourite characters: Upsy Daisy, the Tombliboos and Makka Pakka. They’re all there … even Igglepiggle!
