Brief

Ibiza Rocks approached us to help produce an activation which would promote the brand as being the new home of the Pool Party.

They wanted a giant inflatable pink flamingo to use as a pool float at pool parties in Ibiza and as a centrepiece for an activity in the UK.  The aim was to generate interest in the brand prior to the 2018 summer season, the emphasis on driving sales and booking enquiries.

What we did

After designing and creating a giant 5 metre high inflatable Flamingo to use as collateral, we worked alongside comms agency AllTogetherNow to devise an activation with a big impact.

Working with Ibiza Rocks’ partner Elrow, we installed The Big Pink photo experience at their Elrowtown festival at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The overall aim of creating brand awareness was bolstered by capturing data and creating a great interactive photo booth experience.

A team of promotional performers encouraged party goers to pose for photos in front of the giant flamingo. These photos were turned in to a GIF and also printed as a souvenir; these were sent to them for sharing on social media channels, with a competition to win a trip to Ibiza as incentive.

Highlights

  • A trip for 3 to the Ibiza Rocks Hotel was awarded to the winner  for the best photograph/GIF shared on social channels.
  • The event gave the brand direct exposure to over 30,000 partygoers attending the festival.
  • 618 Photographs were emailed to revellers as well over 800 emails collected for marketing use in the future.
  • After only 3 days the total outreach of the campaign was 1,781,317.
  • The 237 images shared on social channels gained 9776 likes and a further 86 photo shares.
