Brief

Hope & Glory PR asked us to partner with them to create a 4 day pop-up restaurant to launch the Capcom game “Monster Hunter World”.  They wanted to create the ultimate BBQ with an immersive experience to showcase the game.

They needed a turn-key solution to the brief and wanted us to provide concept art and then develop the idea, producing all elements of the restaurant.

What we did

Once the initial designs had been signed off we set about sourcing the right elements to perfectly recreate the aesthetic of the game.

We created the ultimate themed restaurant at Apres London,  closely managing the build, all activity logistics and the coordination of the catering teams.

From props and accessories to fully themed costumes for the waiting staff, we really captured the essence of the world.  Additionally we created a bespoke ‘Rathalos’ monster skull and a 2.5metre tall fully functional monster BBQ spit to dress the exterior.

This truly impressive pop-up ran at full capacity for the entire campaign and we even managed to add some extra space for walk in guests. Gamers were able to enjoy amazing BBQ food fresh from our giant spit and of course have the chance to play the new game ahead of anyone else.

  • We featured heavily in trade press, as well as pieces in The Sun, The Daily Star and even The Irish News
  • There were over 500 shares and countless ‘likes’ on Facebook during the activity.
  • More than 880 fans we able to enjoy the immersive gaming experience alongside a free monster-sized platter.
