Brief

Benefiting from their partnership with Netflix, and to reward their priority customers, O2 wanted to hold a private screening of OITNB Season 6, 24 hours prior to its general release.

The aim was to create a fully immersive experience, replicating prison scenes from the TV series; providing a whole host of activities and pre-screening interaction for journalists, influencers and bloggers.

What we did

Our creative team coordinated the initial concept and planning stage, liaising with the venue management team at Rich Mix and designing the full experiential journey.

Using scenic draping we sectioned off the large space and with bespoke prison sets & props,  alongside special FX, sound & lighting we ensured that guests were given a taste of prison life.

We installed bespoke vinyls and branding, ran themed activities and provided a range of performers and staff to run the event itself.

Highlights

  • Over the course of the evening, the guests worked their way through 86ltrs of bespoke ‘Moonshine’ cocktails
  • Guests could pose for photographs in the prison cells or in the inmates canteen, have their hair braided and even have their very own OITNB tattoo applied.
  • A total of 200 individually sourced prison-themed props were installed by our set designer.
  • Canapés were served from the canteen on prison style trays
