Brief

We were asked by the Fairtrade Foundation to produce a set of photoshoots to launch Fairtrade Fortnight and promote Fairtrade breakfast food from around the world.

The campaign, produced in partnership Kaper PR, was inspired by the Martin Luther King Jr quote: “Before you finish eating breakfast in the morning, you’ve depended on more than half of the world.”

What we did

We firstly created and produced a rooftop photoshoot with St Paul’s Cathedral as our backdrop. 20 Ministers enjoyed a Fairtrade Breakfast alongside BBC Radio 1’s Alice Levine and TV presenter Laura Jackson.

This scene was then replicated at several more London landmarks in a mobile guerrilla activity designed to provide more images and raise awareness amongst the public.

Results

Pictures from the initial Fairtrade breakfast shoot were picked up by The Times and The Independent online.

The #YouEatTheyEat guerrilla activity was enjoyed by thousands of people.

The events launched a 2 week campaign of Fairtrade breakfast events all over the UK. Click here to find out more about Fairtrade Fortnight.
